Article Processing Charges

Publishing without charges

Sapiens in Higher Education operates under a diamond open access model. We do not charge article processing charges (APCs), submission fees, editorial assessment fees, peer-review fees, copyediting fees, typesetting fees, publication fees or access fees. We also do not charge for manuscript length, tables, figures, language, supplementary materials, DOI registration or digital preservation.

The no-fee policy applies equally to original research articles, systematic reviews, scoping reviews and scholarly essays accepted by the journal, regardless of authors’ countries, institutions, funding or academic status. Discounts and waivers are unnecessary because none of these services is charged to authors.

Scientific assessment independent of payment

We do not offer paid fast-track assessment or link manuscript selection, acceptance or publication scheduling to the purchase of external services. Submissions follow the same editorial process, and academic editors make decisions considering relevance to higher education, scientific quality, research integrity and peer-review findings.

Editing or translation services that authors choose to purchase independently are not affiliated with the journal and confer no editorial advantage. Sapiens Edition S.A.S. supplies infrastructure and production support through the co-publishing arrangement; these services are not billed to authors.

Institutional sustainability

The Instituto Sapiens de Investigaciones Científicas Multidisciplinar (ISICM), as publishing institution, oversees scientific direction and institutional sustainability. Sapiens Edition S.A.S., as co-publisher, provides technical and administrative services. These distinct responsibilities separate operational resources from decisions on the scientific merit of individual manuscripts and support free access to published articles.

Messages requesting unauthorized payments

The submission guidelines and official website state that publication is free of charge. Authors receiving messages requesting payment on behalf of Sapiens in Higher Education should verify their authenticity through the official email address, journalsjhe@gmail.com. The journal will investigate such communications and clarify any unauthorized fee requests.

Communicating any changes to the no-fee policy

If we change the financial terms of publishing in the future, we will communicate the change clearly and in advance on our official website, indicating what will change and when. Unless and until an amendment is published, submission, review and publication in Sapiens in Higher Education remain entirely free of charge. No fees will be imposed retroactively on manuscripts received under the no-fee policy.
